Description
Millinery belting, or millinery grosgrain ribbon are interchangeable terms (also called petersham ribbon in England, Canada and a few other countries). It differs from regular grosgrain because it has an open, saw-tooth edge. This open edge allows it to form a curve, which allows it to lay flat, rather than create puckers or gaps when laid against the inside or outside of a hat crown.
