Learn this lost art form, and recreate real silk roses and gardenias reminiscent of flowers made by couture designers in times gone by. Two Hours of instruction in 2 DVD set. Silk roses by Ms. Dial were displayed in the bridal window at Saks Fifth Ave. in New York City during the 2005 holiday season. They were a special size for that venue at 12 inches across, and contributed to a fabulous bridal window.
Disc 1 covers types of fabric recommended, tools and equipment needed, stiffening the silk, cutting the silk, silk bias stems and shaping the petals.
Disc 2 covers, making leaves, constructing the rose, cutting and shaping duchess satin and constructing silk gardenias, and a final chapter on airbrushing for a soft natural shading on the flowers.
